Russian Federal budget deficit may rise to 7.2% of GDP in 2010
MOSCOW: The deficit of Russia’s federal budget could increase to 7.2% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2010 from 6.8% projected earlier, Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko told reporters Friday.
In 2010, revenue of the federal budget could decrease by 38 billion rubles from 6.950 trillion rubles planned earlier, while spending could increase by 128 billion rubles from 9.887 trillion rubles, Nesterenko said.
In 2009, Russia had a federal budget deficit of 2.326 trillion rubles, or 5.9% of GDP.
