Minister Lavrov says Russia has no plans to enter EU, NATO
MOSCOW, Russia does not plan to enter either the European Union or NATO, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday, speaking in the State Duma, the lower house of parliament.
“I do not think we need join them, because Russia can independently claim to be a player in world affairs,“ he said.
Russia should develop its relationship with the EU and NATO as partners, he said.
