MOSCOW, May 12, The Russian government has ruled to include its 31% stake in the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and 60% stake in the Stupino Machinery plant to the privatization list for 2005, the government‘s press service said Thursday.
Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant is named after Mikhail Mil, who developed the first Mi helicopters. The Stupino Machinery plant, which is based in the Moscow Region, produces equipment for helicopters.
The move would, reportedly, allow the transfer of the stakes to Oboronprom, which is expected to become a holding company for Russia’s helicopter and helicopter equipment producers. Oboronprom is controlled by Russian state arms export agency Rosoboronexport. |
