[19.04.2005] Russian Railways and the German concern Siemens Transportation Systems signed a contract for the development of high-speed trains for Russia. Russian Railways intends to place orders for sixty such trains, which can travel at up to 300 kilometers per hour and are to run mainly on the Moscow – St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg – Helsinki routes. When a contract comes into force, Russian Railways may issue Eurobonds to finance a project to attract funds on European markets. |
