WARSAW -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development may help finance Poland and Ukraine's planned pipeline to carry Caspian oil from the Black Sea to the Baltic, a Polish daily reported.
Rzeczpospolita said Wednesday the EBRD could fund most of the project's estimated 400 million to 450 million euro ($514 million to $578 million) cost provided certain conditions were met.
"[The EBRD] is talking about guarantees from Caspian producers, who would commit to using the pipeline for 10 years, for example," Rzeczpospolita quoted a source close to the project as saying. (Reuters)
