Russian minister says Cuba proposes importing wheat from Russia

Cuba has proposed importing Russian wheat, Russian Transportation Minister Igor Levitin said following a meeting with Cuban Foreign Trade Minister Raul de la Nuez.

Cuban representatives have also suggested exporting sugar directly to Russia, buying Russian biotechnologies and setting up biotechnology joint ventures in Russia, Levitin said.
