Irkut Corporation has signed loan agreements worth $30 million with two major European banks, the aerospace holding said Friday.

In August 2006, Natexiz, a French bank, opened a $10 mln credit line for Irkut and later the company signed another contract with a French bank, Societe Generale, which opened a $20 mln revolving credit line.

 

This is the corporation's first loan agreement with major European banks.

 

Irkut said in a release that it is the only company in Russia's defense industry that pursues a consistent policy of promoting relations with European banks and implementing loan agreements with them.

 

Irkut designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of high-tech products, including the Su-30MK multirole combat aircraft and the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious twinjet aircraft.
