The World Bank is planning to increase financing for targeted government programs to develop technoparks in Russia, Information Technologies & Communications Minister Leonid Reyman told reporters on Wednesday.

"We approached the World Bank for support as soon as we started implementing the technopark project. We signed a contract with them, that exists today, under which $20 million was provided to set up this program," he said. "The financing could be increased and we have such a statement from the World Bank," he said.

The Information Technologies & Communications Ministry is interested in World Bank participation, Reyman said. "This project is not only financing, but international experience and expertise. This will help us set up an effective technopark model that we will duplicate across Russia," he said.
