Russia’s trade surplus rose to U.S. $80.1 billion in January-August from $53.8 billion in the same period last year, the Federal State Statistics Service said Monday citing the Central Bank of Russia’s estimates.
Russian exports were up 37.9% on the year to $155.4 billion in January-August, while imports rose 28% on the year to $75.3 billion, the agency said.
Russia’s trade surplus rose to $105.9 billion in 2004 from $76.3 billion in 2003, the Federal Customs Service said earlier. |
